A Todoist alternative for personal tasks
Todoist is a popular task manager with projects, filters and reminders. It's good — but its power can be more than you need for simply "not forgetting things", and after its late-2025 price changes plenty of people started looking around. Here's what you can switch to if you want something simpler and closer to hand.
What Todoist is, and when it's overkill
Todoist is a standalone task app: projects, labels, filters, priorities, karma and stats. If you use all of that, Todoist earns its place. But many people run a plain to-do list in it — so half the features sit idle, while some of what they want (reminders, for instance) sits behind the paid plan.
